Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

credit card's canceled pefect record accoounts, sent bills in full??

I have 2 credit card companies which canceled my accounts last month.

Both accounts have had perfect records, no late payments, etc.

One of the accounts is showing a charge which was canceled, a washer I reserved but did not buy. The held amount should have been credited back, but was not because they closed the account before the credit.

They are asking for payments in full, which I can not afford.

How do I handle this?

You have the option of sending a letter to the credit card company (within sixty days of the statement date containing the eror) disputing the billing error, which will, in turn , trigger your rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act. Please feel free to contact my office for a free initial consult based upon the facts of your specific situation

Negotiate, and file a complaint with the attorney general's office.
