Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

What is a

Dear Lawguru, Let me first thank you for any help you may provide. I have some unsettled debts, mostly credit cards, that are years overdue. The companies have been scarce in their attempts to contact me as of recent years. Most of these debts were incurred many years ago. I just recently got a credit card with a $200.00 limit. Have to try and start somewhere. I recieved a message to return a call to someone claiming to be from a "legal review". What is that? I would love to clean up the mess but with a part time job at present and a family to help support, even a very low monthly payment seems unreachable. At one time I had started bankrupcy procedure but I couldn't afford even that. I'm concerned I may end up in jail or something along those lines. Just wondering if you can help me out with the answer to my question or any advice for that matter. Thanks for being there :-)

Re: What is a

It sounds like you should file for bankruptcy. This would eliminate the phone calls and collection threats.

If you prior bankruptcy was dismissed 180 days ago you can refile.

I offer a very inexpensive alternative. Call if you would like a free consultation to discuss the specific facts of you case
