Dental debt

what is the minimum payment I can make towards my debt to prevent them from sending it to collections and effecting my credit score?

This is really an issue specific to your creditor. Your minimum required payment is a matter of contract between you and the creditor.

Each creditor has the discretion to send an account to collections when it pleases. It is really a business decision, and not a legal question.
