Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts
my grandfather co-signed a personal loan for me and i have missed a payment or two and he is threatening to come take my car that i bought with that money away and hold it until i pay the entire loan offf, can he do that before we go to court or would that be considered him stealing my car until a court has granted him permission to do so?

Assuming your grandfather is not on the title to the car, he will have to file suit in court. You are correct that taking someone's property - even if they owe you money - without proper judicial process, is called stealing!
