Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

Hi. My husband recieved a call today from the Judge Mathis show, and his previous girlfriend is sueing him for $900.00 from a phone bill. He told me he paid the bill in full before he left, but he still had the phone in his posession. She will not give us a copy of the bill or the account number. I'm not sure what to do, we called at&t and the bill is in her name so they couldnt help us. How do I get a copy of the bill?

Presumably, she will need to provide a copy of the bill in order prove her case. If he "paid the bill in full before he left", does he have proof of payment? How did he pay? You have the right to request discovery in small claims (I do not know about the Mathis Show). Read the small claims rules and request a hearing with the court clerk to request discovery.
