What are the laws regarding the repossession of a vehicle in MA which was purchased in Florida? I own a Recovery Agency in Florida and have been contracted to repossess a vehicle which is now located in MA.

Check with the secretary of state-I beleive you have to be licensed to do business in the state before you could act on the repo.

Any repo activity (even licensed, which you must indeed be within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts) is done at your peril. This Office specializes in suing repossesion companies which violate federal and state laws when conducting repossession business in Massachusetts.

This is very common.
