Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

liability for car payments

I purchased a car for a woman. The title is in her name. The loan is in my name. She verbally agreed to take over the payments at some point, but is now reneging. Do I have any recourse?

Re: liability for car payments

Your only recourse is an action against her. She is going to claim it was a gift.

You are liable for the payments. You can stop, and the car will be seized by the creditor.
