personal auto siezed without notification

i had a credit card judgement for 850.00 and made arrangements to pay in 3 installments made 1 for 280.00 bal 595.00 i failed to make 2 other payments due to medical reasons which was mentioned to collection agency in oct

seized my car march 3 2005 and it cost me 1200.00 plus towing 143.00 to get my car[money which i borrowed]i recieved no written communication or verba;l communication that we where at this stage what recorse do i have and is this with in there rights to take car without proper notification

Before there can be any determination of any violation of the law, I would need to know how and why a collection company felt they could take your car in the first place. Was the debt related to the car? Was it secured by the car? Was the court action a final judgment after hearing, or was it an order in a supplementary process action. These are important questions I would need answered before I can answer your question.
