Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

protective income

I am looking for the federal law citation that prohibits garnishment of social security, disability payments, pensions or veteran's benefits

on people who do not have sufficient income to pay their

unsecured debt. I am being sued in small claims court and

would like to have this citation available to present

to the court. Thank you
