i received a call stating a case was file against me for not paying something from a landline but they stated i needed to call a 1-800 number, i have no idea who they are or anything else related to them. how can i verify if the case number givven of 93263 is even valid

You should call them and ask for their (1) name, (2) mailing address, and (3) the name of the original creditor they are calling about. Then follow up with an FDCPA request for validation.
