Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

I am separated but not legally divorced. When have lived separately since 2006. I have been unemployed for quite a long time and have gathered alot of debt. Her name is not on any of it anywhere. My question is; If something were to happen to me, could they go after her for my debt? With being unemployed I cannot afford life insurance and am very concerned. Thank you in advance.
