Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts
I got a summons and complain on the credit debt I owe to Discover card and I want to know how to write a motion to extend in ma and write an answer to the complain.

The answer takes far less effort than the Motion to Extend, unless you are going to bring counterclaims - then you may need extra time to work on those. But if you're going to file a regular answer, it's rather straight forward. If Discover is represented by the law office that does most credit card litigation in MA, their Complaint is 2 paragraphs: first one states that there was a contract for repayment and the second stating that you breached it. If applicable, you would deny both, and your Answer would simply say: 1. Denied and 2. Denied. That's all.
However, if you have counterclaims, those must be brought at the time of the filing of the Answer, and in that case your pleading will require more work.
This is not legal advice. This is general guidelines. Good luck.
