Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

Trasferring Primary to secondary

I signed on as the Primary for a lease for my wife. We are now getting divorced and I want to know if there is a way to transfer the primary to her name and remove my name. She has been making the payments all along and has not missed one.

What is this a lease of? An apartment or a car?

If it's an apartment, speak with the landlord and ask to sign a new lease. If it's a car, you must refinance the car in her individual name or else you'll still be on the hook for the loan.
