Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
I am 19 years old, a college student in Massachusetts and was reported to police by a store for attempting to purchase alcohol with a fake ID. Is there any way to make sure that this will not go on my permanent record?

It will only go on your record if you are charged by the police or the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles suspends your drivers license. A conviction carries a $300.00 fine and the Registry will suspend your license for 180 days. It is also possible for the Registry to suspend your license administratively, without a conviction. If this happens, the suspension will appear on your driving record. You can get your criminal record sealed, but not your driving record.
