Accessory to murder!

My friend was charged with accessory to murder for driving his Co-D to the location unknowingly! Is there anyway to beat the charge?

Accessory to murder!

That is the wrong question!...

First, your friend should have an attorney. That attorney would have evaluated the case and arrive at strategies which should be discussed with his client.

You do not beat a case.

Re: Accessory to murder!

The answer is "probably" because being innocent is not enough to escape being prosecuted and incarcerated. Juries WANT someone to blame and they have been told since they were in kindergarten that they should trust a police officer. Even if the investigator is wrong, doesn't have all of the facts, or jumped to a conclusion... most jurors WANT to believe him. Your friend needs a good defense attorney to show a jury that the so called 'evidence" is not the complete story, and to try and persuade them that simply driving someone to a place does not mean that you were in on the crime that person was secretly planning to commit or that they may have committed in a fit of rage.

Re: Accessory to murder!

It depends. What are the underlying circumstances? What happened? What do the witnesses say?
