Hi, I was accused of larceny over 250,00 I don't have any criminal history before I like to know what is the penalty if I was find guilty

Larceny over $250 is a felony charge with a maximum penalty of 2.5 years in the House of Correction if the case stays in District Court. If the case is indicted it would then go to Superior Court and a state prison sentence would be possible. In most cases--someone with no record would not go to jail but it all depends upon the facts of the case and the value of the property that was taken.
