Age of Consent
I am 24 and a close friend of mine is 17. Is it legal for us to have consentual sex in CT or MA?

In Massachusetts it is illegal for two people to have sexual relations unless they are married to each other. Such acts constitute the crime of adultry or fornication. If one party is under the age of 16, it would also be statutory rape. Under federal law, it is illegal to transport women (and I believe minors -under age 18) across state lines for immoral purposes. Sexual intercourse is such an illegal purpose.
