what is the difference between armed robbery with no gun and unarmed robbery

If I understand your question correctly, then armed robbery using a weapon other than a gun and unarmed robbery are punishable by the same sentences, life or any term or years in state prison with no minimum mandatory sentence. In terms of proving the first, it would have the additional element that the person was armed with a dangerous weapon.
