assault and battery

i have no prios criminal history,more or less clean slate. i got into a fight and was charged with assault and battery. what are the odds that i will face jail time?

It depends on the harm done to the alleged victim, the ADA's mood and the judge.

Depending on the facts, this could be different. You should really have a criminal defense attorney, like me, review the police report and the facts.

If there were no weapons and no injuries and you really have no record, jail is very unlikely. PS: what is "more or less a clean slate"? But only a defense attorney can evaluate the case and discuss the options with you. The optimal disposition is, of course, a dismissal or a "not guilty."
