Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
Back to Jail?
If an individual were to test positive for marijuana use while they were two years into their parole, and they had good behavior up until then, Would they be sent back to prison? If so, for how long? (The sentence in prison was for breaking and entering.)
What are the consequences?

You do not want to mess with your parole officer.
The person needs to discuss this relpase with the parole officer, and make an effort to find and attend a treatment proram. One relpase should not result in a draconian response. This depends on the relationship with the parole officer and the history.
