Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
cable theft
My cable was left on in my new apartment prior to me moving in. It stayed on until one day the cable guy came and asked me if I knew it had been on. I said yeah and they said that I could pay them now for the whole time I've lived here or see them in court. How can I be charged with felony theft of cable if it was they're mistake by leaving it on. Can I really be charged? And should I seek legal help?

You can be charged, but that does not necessarily mean that you are guilty.
