Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
I was seen getting out of a car and returning ten minutes later. My two friends waited in the car, I returned and according to the police report looked in all directions after first exiting and when I returned. I got in the back seat of the car and we drove to the end of the street (about 1 city block) at which point an undercover SUV pulled in facing us the wrong way down a one way street. They waved us back and told us to back up (didn't know they were cops at this point) After 30 seconds of awkward shouting standoff with this SUV a truck pulls up behind us quickly with lights on. My backdoor opens and the officer (plain clothes with badge around the neck) pulls me out, literally. Then we stood there again for 20 seconds, he said nothing until he decided to put cuffs on me. Read me my rights but didn't identify a charge or a reason for stopping the car. Is this legit or what, did they have probable cause?

If they had probable cause this is not rare
