Child abuse
I f the statute of limations in Massachusetts has expired and I can not have an abuser arrested, can I bring a civil suit against him?
Is this a common practice and has it ever been successful?

I assume you are talking about a limitation on criminal action, and that you absolutely sure that it has expired. It probably has, BUT without the specific information of the last date of the abuse, the age of the victim and other relevant information, your question has insufficient facts to be answered as stated.
