is this a crime, can i press charges and what type of accusation can i file?

A woman came to my house screaming,swearing and banging on my front door. I told her to leave i didn't want any problems so i closed the door she started punching the door window, the glass shattered and cut my face,arms and hands just superficially. The woman never hit me with her hands. I didn't do anything to the woman and she left. What can i do, can i press charges?.

You can call the police, the sooner the better, and advise them of the situation. There are several potential charges. You should also take pictures of the wounds and the damage. If the police refuses to issue or seek a criminal complaint, you have other options.
