Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

criminal laws against person and property

If I have been the victim to 20 items of mgl criminal violations against persons and property, and this person who committed these offenses is also an ex, for whom is also in civil contempt issues with me, have notified the local police and my divorce attorney to some of them, what is the appropriate process now? It has been kind of odd that civil/divorce issues have not strongly addressed the serious criminal violations. It all seems foggy. Do I give the list of criminal violations directly to the police, and then go secure a criminal attorney?

What is the line of evidence and time frame for reporting and acting on these. Far too much damage has been allowed to happen to me and I am in a seriously bad way because of it.

The next question, if I have the suspicion from disclosed information to me by the priveledge of marriage (and under the threat of physical harm) regarding peoples past involvements in raketeering and fraud larceny etc. do I talk to police or to an attorney? What is the statute of limitations on those crimes?

Perhaps you should discuss with your divorce attorney whether you should report your claim to have been a victim of criminal activity to your local district Attorney's office.

Understandably, your questions are somewhat cryptic since you seem to not want to disclose too much on an open forum and that is wise. However, without much more specific information it is impossible to advise you properly. Call a Criminal Defense attorney in your area, make an appointment and pay him/her for an hour's time to go through all of your questions. You can get general answers here online and for free, but it sounds like you have enough going on that you really should get specific advice and of course, in all of life, you get what you pay for :-)
