Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
destruction of private property
The management office in my condo sent maintenance to my unit because they thought my HVAC was leaking into the unit downstairs. While they were fixing a pipe in the wall, they put 3 holes in my wall. According to the condo docs I own all the walls in my unit up to the studs. Can I sue them for destruction of property / make them pay for the repairs?

Yes, but perhaps you should try making a claim through their insurance first. Good Luck!

I agree with Attorney Murray. Also, I would think that the condo association should be amenable to reimbursing you for the damage if you ask, without having to sue them.
