Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
domestic charges
My ex- girlfriend and I had an argument one night, she got mad and called the police and told them I hit her.
They of course took me away.
I had to go and retain legal council for myself, and her. So that she could go into court and invoke her fifth amendment right, due to the fact that her police report was false.
The case was dismissed. However the incident shows on my police record now. My question is, do I have any legal right to sue her for the legal charges that I incurred as a result of her lie?

You always have a right to sue, and in this action you have to decide if it is cost-effective.
