Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
Driving With No license
I was speeding due to an emergency, I was pulled over by a state officer. I gave him the registration, because I had no license he impounded the car and gave me a citation for driving with NO license and told me that i have to go to court to explain why i was driving w/o having a license. I have never been in any legal trouble at all and just so happened to take a chance that day and got into trouble. [I have had a permit but it exspired before i actually got around to getting my license] I want to know what to be prepared for or what might happen if Ineed a lawyer or something

Hi,
It would be in your best interest to get an attorney. You are being charged with a criminal offense, and it will show up on your record. There are also some license consequences.

I agree with Attorney Foley. This is a criminal charge which will appear on your CORI. Feel free to contact me to discuss your options. Also feel free to visit my website at RisaFreemanlaw.com
