Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Driving with NON-US (my country) License

It had been just 5 months in US for me when i met with an accident.I was driving a rental car with my country's license..Looking at the RMV Rules book a person is allowed to drive with a valid outside-US for one year.

The police has now put a criminal offence of NO LICENSE against me..and i have to appear in the court.

Please help me in what i am supposed to do in this situation.

Re: Driving with NON-US (my country) License

Laws can be confusing which is why there is a need for lawyers. You can drive with a license from another country for one year. However, If you remain in Massachusetts for thirty consecutive days, you must get a Massachusetts license. This requirement applies to people from other states and other countries. You need to talk to a lawyer about how to handle your current problem.
