Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

DUI Convction

How long will a DUI conviction remain on the records accessable by potential emplyers? I'm going for a job that would provide me with a company car. My DUI conviction was 6 years ago and since I've had a completely clean driving record.

The CORI will reflect your plea or conviction forever, unless you ask that it be sealed.

It depends on the type of record check that is run. If a license record is run, the OUI will be on there for life. Most employer obtained CORI's go back only five years, but under certain circumstances they can get life time CORI's.
