Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

My ex-husband has been incarcerated since Feb. 2010, with an expected release date in Aug. 2011. He was convicted of 4 misdeamors and will have a pending felony charge until 2012, after he completes his probation guidelines. He was on unemployment from Nov. 2009 through Feb. 2010. I would like to know if he will be able to reapply for unemployment when he is released in Aug. 2011 once he resumes a job search? Are there restrictions with the time the initial claim is filed and if it can be reopened 18 months later? Or would he be able to open a new claim but still receive unemployment from the employer he initially filed his claim with. Are there also restrictions with not being able to recieve unemployment if you have misdeamor convictions and a pending felony charge? If the pending felony charge is an issue, would he be able to receive unemployment once the felony charge is removed from his record in 2012? I had been receiving child support from a portion of his unemployment payment. This stopped when he was incarcerated in Feb. 2010. Thank you for your time and information.
