Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
False Rape Allegations
A girl is filing rape charges against me, and these charges are false. There is no evidence or proof that this happened, and she is claiming that it happened a year ago. Both of us were underage drinking, but I know that we did not have any type sexual intercourse. What should my next steps be, and does it look like I am looking at jail time?

First, you seem to have no clue about the criminal process. Second, the things you say in themselves can get you into trouble. Finally, I agree with all of the answers, the problem is such that only an experienced criminal defense attorney can advise you. Another attorney who is inexperienced can hurt you.
You should talk to no one, and certainly not post a detailed description on the internet.
The next person you should and must speak to is an attorney to analyze the case, and discuss your options.
If you seek further information or representation, you can call my office.
If you want to provide me with more essential information about the situation, or contact me, then I can provide me with the necessary details, so that I can evaluate what is going on, and give you my thoughts.

First. Get an attorney. If you tell the police what you wrote in this message, they will charge you.
Second. Do not talk to the police, under any circumstances until lafter you have consulted with an attorney.
Re: False Rape Allegations
First retain an attorney and don't speak to anyone about this except that attorney.
A conviction on the charge of rape would involve jail time.
Re: False Rape Allegations
This is potentially very serious. You must retain a good attorney. If the girl involve was under the statutory age of consent, you could be charged with statutory rape, which has a very loose definition of what constitutes "rape."
Beyond concerns about jail time, you are also potentially facing registration on the public registry as a "Sex Offender," a potentially lifelong brand upon you for all to see.
Feel free to contact me immediately if you want a zealous advocate to go to battle on this for you. This is what you need.
As the others have already advised, speak (and write) to noone except counsel. At all.
