A past employee obtained my electronic signature, used this to falsify a loan document. then used this ''signed'' document, attempting to get payment. Is this legal or not?

Not legal.
Re: Falsifying legal documents
You state that an ex employee "falsif[...] a loan document" and then tried to use it to secure money and you are ASKING if it is legal????? I hope you know the answer and just don't know how to ask what to do. What you should do is contact the DA in the local court and explain what this person did. Of course it is illegal to falsify someone else's authority for money without permission.
Re: Falsifying legal documents
It is criminal, and constitutes attempt and identity theft.
