Federal Law vs. State/Local Law

Can federal agents arrest on state charges? For instance, FBI agents arresting someone for murder... Is that possible?

First of all, most crimes have some sort of federal counterpart. Some murders, or murders committed under certain circumstances are federal crimes.

Also, if the federal authorities are investigating a situation that leads to probable cause on a state crime, they do have the authority to make an arrest and transfer the perpetrator to state authorities. In fact, under certain circumstances any person can make an arrest for state crimes.
