Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

felony charge in Massachusetts

I have a felony charge in the state of MA. and I am trying to get into the military. They say because of this charge I they can not help me get in. Please could you advice me on where to go to get help with dropping this charge to a lesser charge and/or get it off of my record completely. It was for breaking and entering an ex- boyfriends house to get my belongings back and at the time of the hearing I just wanted everything to go away. Now that I am older and wanting to persue a career, is when I see that it is inhibiting my life severely. Thank you for your time.

You cannot drop the charge. You may be able to ask for a re-trial or a change of disposition. To assist you, this matter has to be evaluated individually.

Retain an attorney to explore whether a Motion to revise and revoke might be available to you. Good Luck!

You may be able to seal your record. Other than that your options are very limited once you have taken your disposition.
