filing a false police report
about 2 months ago I was assaulted by my sons girlfriend I went to the police station to file a report of assault now I am being charged with filing a false police report I was assaulted and didn,t file no false report Could you please tell me what I need to do my lawyer has told me its no big deal and I should make a deal with the da I don't want to because I'm innocent and if I do make a deal what is the punishment I really cannot afford a trail and my health isn't all that great

You should seek a court appointed attorney to assist you, if you are unable to afford an attorney.
