Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Filing a law suite against another person

I had a Mass lawyer who handled a bad business partner for us and was going to handle a personal suite against him. We were strung out and just recently the lawyer wants to return out retainer, fine. I'm looking for a lawyer in Mass that can file a suite against a person that we loaned personal money, $30,000.00. I know we may never see this money but we want a judgement against him but it seems we keep getting stiffed and can't get a break. This man has ruined us and starting over, though we are, has put a really bad taste in our mouths. Thank you!

Re: Filing a law suite against another person

If you have a legitimate debt due you that is supported by a promissory note or some other written documentation I would be interested in discussing it further with you and your former attorney. Please provide the information on both for my review only with the understanding that no attorney client relationship will arise unless and until we have signed a written retainer agreement between us.

If your only interest is to file a spite suit for "principle" only with no intent to pursue money damages, you should retain other counsel, as I would not be interested under those circumstances. Good Luck!
