Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
I just found out yesterday, My 17 year old (turns 18 next month), receives text messages from 50+ yr old woman (who is the mother of a former girlfriend from 2 yrs ago), who asks to borrow money from my son and buys liquor for him. She is an alcoholic with mental health issues and I can't have a productive conversation with her. What proof is needed by the police?

If you won agrees o tell the police about the alcohol that may be enough. And depending on the content of the text messages it may be possible to get a restraining order from the local district court. Or perhaps the police will give her a strong warning that will deter her. It would be Rey difficult to do anything unless your son wants it to stop and will cooperate. Hope this helps.
