Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
My friend was ordered to pay me $40,000.00 by the court as part of my share in a realestate
transaction. She never did and I filed a complaint with the local police. They told the district attorney which she is now being charged with larceny. Her attorney called and asked if I would settle this.
I lost a lot of money through this..probably around $25,000.00. They want me to sign something so her case can be dismissed and settle. Can I ask for the $25,000. plus the $ 40,000 that she owes me? thank you

If there is an order, then the police is not the avenue. You need to deal with the order and its remedies.
