Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Hello,

My Sons Mother just told me that a local police officer told her Father that I was being watched. He did not tell her father why I am being watched.

I have been known to associate with some shady people, but do not know why they would be watching me.

Should I go to the police station and ask them why they are watching me?
