Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

My husband is being held in NC for a warrant in MA. At arraignment, he chose to have legal representation rather than waiving his rights, how long does MA have to come get him? And, if they do not show, is his warrant cleared?

North Carolina will set the time period for Massachusetts to pick him up. If the authorities don't travel to get him the warrant will remain valid. The warrant won't be recalled until he appears in the Massachusetts court that issued it.
