Impersonating a police officer

I made a prank phone call. I used an officers name. There was never any intent to hurt anyone. This was done over the phone

Re: Impersonating a police officer

The police take the charge of impersonating an officer very seriously. However, if you have a good defense attorney, it can be hard to prove. Hire the best attorney that you can afford. A Criminal Defense Attorney, not a generalist, and take their advice. Do not take it lightly and think that because you are a good guy and meant no harm that the court will just say, Oh, ok. Now that we know your a good person and meant no harm you can go home now." If they can, they will convict you of the charge and you will have this on your record for life. Now is your one opportunity to handle this correctly. Don't blow it. You will regret it for life.

You should retain an attorney and confide only in that attorney and not on the net in an open forum like this one.
