issue regarding warrant for leased property

I had rented a few videos back in 1998, with my credit card on file. Unbeknownst to me, the video store said I never returned them, and a warrant had been issued for my arrest ever since. My card was never charged for the purchase price of said videos, their collection agency had no record of me and my credit reports had no such instance either. They never took me to court, which the judge said should've happened first. I had been stopped last nite for being in an intersection (my car) when the light turned red, and wasn't even blamed for anything, just informed, so the license/reg check was just a formality, hence the warrant discovery. Mind you, I had been given a prior traffic warning, no mention of warrant, been to jury duty twice, renewed license twice, even had to go to court for an accident, nothing found. Working in finance, credit/criminal check needs to be run, still nothing. So I have to go back next month, want to bring a lawyer. Video store has no rental history, just last active date, I still have an active acct(!), and they have no idea of the video titles or date of rental. Any thoughts?
