Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts
Is it legal to have an advertisment in newspapers or other medias which say "please send $1.00 to an individual's address or box no. without offering anything in return.

My initial reaction is that there is nothing illegal in principle with what you've stated, but any attorney (myself included) would want to read the entire advertisement, and not just the part that you've mentioned, before offering you an informed opinion about whether the advertisement is illegal.
