How long does it take a DA to review an alledge rape case?

A girl I fooled around with in my building once, 4 months later went to the police and said I raped her. I gave my statement on February 13th and still have not heard anything from the DA. How long does this take? She has falsely accused me and I am walking on eggshells to hear that this is not going any furthers.

Do not make any further statements without a lawyer. The government does not talk with you to find out what happened, they talk with you to get evidence to charge you with a crime. Do not say another word to them.

In general, the longer the government waits, the harder it is for them to make a case stick. If any one else is in this situation, keep your mouth shut. This is the best way to make this kind of situation go away quickly.
