Maximum sentence for violation of a restraining order and other charges

A friend of mine was stalked and raped by an exboyfriend. Nothing could be proven but he failed a drug test ordered by the judge. After getting out of prison for that, he broke a restraining order against her by grabbing her in public the day after it went on file; he had been harassing/threatening her online ever since he got out of prison. It seems reasonable that he would get the maximum sentence considering the circumstances but I haven't been able to find out what that is. He failed another drug test during the second (most recent) round of hearing. I'm not sure exactly what he's being charged with or where. He is a resident of New York but all crimes were commited in Massachsetts.

He is probably looking at a maximum of 2.5 years in the house of correction, with credit for time served.

The sentencing depends on a variety of factors. Some of these mitigating factors could reduce the sentence, while aggravating factors could enhance it.
