Re: minor consumption alcohol

You could be charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors. You should consider retaining an attorney and speaking only with that attorney about this matter.

Re: minor consumption alcohol

The list is pretty long and I am not going to cite chapter and section. However, essentially you can be charged for allowing the children to drink in your home and providing the alcohol, even if you didn't actualy provide it. By providing a place for them to do this and not properly supervising this, knowledge of its occurrance would be sufficient for a conviction. Even perhaps more scary, if one of those children leaves your home and is harmed, you could face additional criminal charges and then civil charges that could cause you to lose your home. I can not stress how serious the liability is for minors to be drinking in someone's home. If you need chapter and section, I would need to spend quite a bit more time researching the exact charges.

Several different charges. The issue is the cost and embarrassment, and its impact on your personal and vocational life.

Neither of you are unlikely to go to jail. But to the extent your child is out of control, and using drugs and alcohol, you do have a problem that requires at a minimum zero-love and stringent limits. If this fails, you may need external intervention including a CHINS petition.
