Re: missing deposit

Retain an attorney immediately and discuss this matter only with that attorney. DO NOT plead guilty.

If it is merely an application for a complaint, you have the right to a clerk magistrate's hearing at which you should be represented by an attorney who can try to dissuade the magistrate from even entering a criminal complaint. If a complaint issues your attorney may be able to negotiate either a dismissal on payment of costs or a continuance without a finding to avoid a feloney larceny conviction which you should seek to avaoid at all costs. Good Luck!

Re: missing deposit

It appears you have been charged with a felony.

Your best option is to contact a criminal defense attorney as soon as possible. If you cannot afford an attorney, you should investigate whether you qualify to have a court appointed attorney.

It is impossible to answer your other questions without knowing all the facts and circumstances of your particular matter.

Criminal charges are serious, especially felony charges; an attorney will be able to explain each step in the process, and negotiate with the prosecutor on your behalf.

Are you saying that there is a clerk's hearing against you, or are you being arraigned?

Your best option is to contact a criminal defense attorney and negotiate a settlement that gives you the least exposure possible.

You should talk to no one, and certainly not post a detailed description on the internet.

The next person you should and must speak to is an attorney to analyze the case, and discuss your options.
