Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

I was molested heavily by a 14 or 15 year old in Ashburnham Mass and I had forgotten about the incident until he recently contacted me by email. and all the old memories have come back. He has been paying for therapy and had written he would also like to compensate me. What I want to know is do I have a case against this person if he try's to low ball me in financial compensation?
