Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Plagiarism

My 17 yr old high school daughter passed in a term paper and put all the sites and resources on her bibliography and note cards. She put her sites next toeach paragraph but didnt know where some info came soem so left them blank and thought her note cards would cover this, She had NO INTENT to say these words were her own and didn ot tell or write to anybody saying these were her words. Her teacher is charging her leagally with plagiarism. again she had no intent o say these were her words as she put note cards at the end of the paper. How can we fight this. It is going on her permenant record. She has a great record and has NEVER been in any trouble before, we feel they are just trying to use her as an example.

Re: Plagiarism

You should work your way up the ladder, starting with her teacher, and then up as far as you can go.
